A Skills-Based Non-Denominational Anger Management Program for Adults.

Family Services is one of very few agencies which off ers
opportunities to strengthen anger management skills. Cost
of participation in the ten session workshop is $400, and
$35 for a one hour pre-screening interview. Ontario Works
and Children’s Aid Society may assist those who need to learn
anger management, but cannot afford the entire cost.
The program addresses a number of topics, including:
• Emotions and Anger Arousal Management
• Stress and Communication with Body
• Mind and Out-thinking Anger
• Self-Monitoring of Anger
• Assertion and Self-Esteem
• Relationships
• Assertive Communication
• Responding to Anger, Criticism, etc.
• Problem-solving

Please note that TRANSFORMATIONS is not a program for batterers or people with charges of domestic abuse. Men who choose violence or the threat of violence to control others will be referred to New Directions, offered at Catholic Family Service.Must be 19+ years of age

This 10 week (2-1/2 hours each session) program will provide you with tools/techniques to deal with anger in a positive way.
REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL – THERE IS A PRE-SCREENING INTERVIEWCOST OF THE PROGRAM IS $400 + $35 SCREENING FEE
Please note that most health benefit and insurance companies will cover this group.
JFS is not publicly funded to run Transformations. We regret that the sliding fee scale does not apply to the Anger Management group. However, most employee benefit packages cover the costs - please check your benefits package under requirements for "psychological services."
