Good morning Sheldon, how are you?
I hope you are fine. Sorry for not contacting you before, but life calls sometimes... Well, we are pleased to tell you that we are doing just fine, we both got jobs, S--- got an administrative assistant position in a law firm called -----, and I got a software developer position in a company located in Mont Tremblant, a resort two hours from Ottawa, and the best part is that I am able to work from home!
As you can imagine, after the initial hard period, things seem to start getting better for us now, and we want you to know that we really appreciate your effort and your help, and we hope that you can continue doing so for other immigrants like us.

| Mr. Taylor's workshop was like a wake up call for me and I knew everyone of you would have felt the same way. I was particularly happy, coz Mr. Taylor's attitude and encouragement towards us was magnificent. How are you? Now I am working for Pccyber computer retailer as a warehouse controller to be in charge of their inventory. Also, I take my responsibility very seriously, but I am still looking for a more professional job to reach my career goal which I mentioned before.
I really appreciate your help and to be positive I will reach my goal. |
I am writing this to say thank you for your workshop from which I learned a lot, especially about the 'call for information' step and the 'set up face to face networking' part which are going to be very helpful for me to find a job. And I also learned some basic ideas about the life/work balance which really fresh my mind and heart. Too many others, etc.

First of all, thank you for helping ----- in landing successfully on such a perfect professional job. She really benefited a lot from the job searching workshop, particularly your powerful personalized suggestion. We are so happy and excited at this moment. Well, we did expect that such a beautiful day would come to us sooner or later, yet, like a dream, it is too wonderful to be believed when it really comes. As an immigrant landed here three years ago, for the first time, I feel myself really landed on the ground. |
Just a quick note to update you…
I have accepted a position with a commercial real estate and appraisal and consulting firm. I have been working there for a about a month, and so far find it really interesting and challenging.
I would like to thank you for your help and advice during my first few months here in Ottawa. I would also like to wish you all the best for you and your family in 2007. |
